James A. Staton
Owner\Licensed Funeral Director & Embalmer
James is a native of Cleveland, TN and lived in McMinn County for over 25 years until moving to Decatur in 2022. He has worked in area funeral homes for several years and graduated from the Mortuary Science Program at Jefferson State Community College in Birmingham, AL with an Associate's Degree. He has been a licensed Funeral Director and Embalmer in the state of Tennessee since 2006. James is also an ordained Minister and has pastored churches in the area for over 20 years, he is also a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. He and his wife, Amber, have two children and reside in Meigs County.

Amber is a native of Bradley County and a 1997 graduate of Bradley Central High School. She worked for the City of Cleveland for 21 years and is currently a City Clerk for the Town of Decatur; She is also a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church. She been married to James Staton for over 25 years. She enjoys spending time with her family and four-legged babies.

Danny is a native of Meigs County and lives in the Ten Mile Community. He is a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and he and his wife Patsy are known for their singing ministry, The Carters, for the past 40+ years. He has two children, one granddaughter and three great-grandchildren.

Gary is a native of Meigs County and is retired from Shaw Industries. Since retiring, Gary has become a school bus driver for Meigs County Schools. Gary is happily married to Darlene and they have two children.

Dusty is a native of Meigs County. He is the Pastor of Union Grove Baptist Church in Decatur. He is happily married to Lavonne and have two children, five grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.

Wayne was a native of Meigs County and lived in the Cottonport Community and had been active in area funeral homes for several years. Before joining the Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services team he retired as a truck driver. Wayne served as a Deacon at Bethsadia Baptist Church. He has one daughter, three grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. Wayne went to be with the Lord on March 20, 2024.
