Donald Richard Boyd, age 52, of Decatur, TN, died Wednesday, February 24, 2010, in the Athens Regional Hospital. He was of the Baptist Faith. He is preceded in death by his mother, Nina Minor He is survived by his wife Phyllis Gail Boyd of Decatur, TN; one step- daughter Melissa LeBlanc; one brother Darryl Boyd of Chattanooga, TN; three sisters, Pam Gardner of Chattanooga, TN, Sharon Johnston and Debbie Dean, both of Dayton, TN and four Grandchildren Funeral services are 2:00 p.m., Sunday, February 28, 2010 in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Taylor Colbaugh officiating. Burial will follow in the Decatur Cemetery, Decatur, Tennessee The family will receive friends from 12 noon until 2 p.m., Sunday, February 28, 2010 at the funeral home.
