Wilma Jean Powell Bandy

Wilma Jean Powell Bandy, age 81, of Decatur, passed away on Thursday, September 7, 2023.

She was a daughter of the late Richard and Nora Hale Powell. She was a member of Five Point Baptist Church and loved her grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 61 years: Bill Bandy; great-grandson: Jaxon Babbino; siblings: Mildred, Floyd, Lloyd, Harold, Lorene, J.r., Helen, Fran, and Mary.

She is survived by her children: Robin (Chigger) Mosley, Freddy Keith Bandy, Pamela Welch; siblings: Martha, Ann, and Roy; grandchildren: Krista Livingston, Tosha Bandy, Billy Bandy, Hunter Welch, Brandon Bowman, Matthew Bandy, and twins: Gracelyn Smith and Caitlyn (Tanner) Anderson; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other extended family, and a host of friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at Five Point Baptist Church at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 11, 2023. Interment will follow in the Five Point Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 12 noon – 2 p.m. at the church, prior to the service.
