Wilma Sue Ballew

Wilma Sue (Sis) Ballew, 75, of Ten Mile, passed away on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2012 at Athens Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church. She worked for the Meigs County School System in the Cafeteria for 35 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Curtis Ballew; parents, Hubert B. and Bonnie (Harrison) Huff. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Janice Ballew of Athens; 2 daughters and son-in-laws, Connye and Rob Davis of Athens, Sandy and Tim Moses of Decatur; one brother and sister-in-law, Jim and Malinee Huff of Athens; two sisters, Jane Powell and Bernice Woody, both of Ten Mile; 6 grandchildren, Kim Waldrop, Jessica Perez, Beth Moses, William McFarland, Brittaney Rentz and Abby Ballew; 3 great grandchildren Zoe Womac, Chloe Waldrop and Nathaniel Rentz. Funeral service will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012 in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Rick Duncan and Rev. Curtis Porter officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 6, at the funeral home. Interment will be in at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 7, in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers make donations to the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church.
