Willie Ruth Ziegler Conner

Willie Ziegler Conner, 96, of Millbrook, AL and formerly of Decatur went to be with the Lord on July 17, 2018 following and extended illness. She was born in Decatur and was the daughter of the late Mark and Hassie Ziegler. She retired from Giant Foods and enjoyed sewing and her senior swimming classes at the YMCA. She was a lifelong member of the Concord United Methodist Church in Decatur, and loved going to her church.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by brothers Lawrence and Mark Ziegler; and sisters Tinnie Frances Ziegler, Angie Klye, Elizabeth Boysworth, and Opal Seals.

Survivors include Her son, Sam (Heike) Conner of Millbrook, AL; grandchildren, Mia (Eric) Haynes of Chelsea, AL and Chad (Jennifer) Conner of Pell City, AL; and two great-grandchildren, Logan and Walker.

The family will receive friends at Concord United Methodist Church in Decatur Saturday, August 4, 2018 from 2pm to 3pm followed by a celebration of her life at 3pm with the Revs. Hugh Bryan and Will Conner officiating.
