William L. Lunsford

William "Bill" Lunsford, 71, of Decatur went to be with the Lord Monday, July 15, 2013 at Athens Regional Hospital. He was preceded in death by parents, William and Mary Lunsford , brothers Ronnie, Jimmy and Ray Lunsford, one sister Ruby "Donna" Lunsford. He is survived by his son Austin (Kelly) Lunsford and Austin's mother Bobbie Burgner of Decatur. Brothers, Paul Lunsford and William Lunsford III of Cleveland, Harvey Lunsford of Arkansas and Roy Lunsford of Benton. Sisters, Marlene Shell and Barbara Jones both of Athens, Faye McCarthy of Cleveland and Darlene Woods of Benton. Grandchildren Gaige and Gunner Lunsford. The family will receive friends Thursday, July 18 from 5-8 pm at Bowers Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 8 pm Thursday at the funeral home with Rev. Mike Couch officiating. Interment will be in Mountain View Cemetery at 11 a.m. Friday, July 19. Pallbearers are Austin Lunsford, Larry Mullins, James Proveaux, Mitchell Womac, Frankie Abernathy and Geno Pressley. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Mullins, Bob Womac, Vaughn Daniels and Paul Lunsford.
