William Davis Laymen

William Davis Layman, known as "Dave" Layman, went home to be with the Lord April 3, 2016, died of natural causes related to a heart condition. A native of Meigs County, he graduated from Meigs County High School, where he enjoyed sports. He loved his children and family and peanut.

He was always smiling and loved to talk, never met a stranger. He had a special talent for art of all kinds, but, especially enjoyed creating unique jewelry as a hobby. Dave will always be remembered and sadly missed by family and friends.

He leaves behind son, Cody Layman, daughters Seareia Nichole Garcia and Allison Jones, granddaughter Alena Garcia, father and mother Edd Layman and Tommie Kaye, mother Sandra Letner, sister Tonia Dake, brothers Richie Layman, Heath Layman, Patrick Sheppard, and a host of special nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 7, from 5 until 8 p.m., at the funeral home, with the funeral to follow at Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scott Leamon officiating.

Burial will be held at 1 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2016 in the Pisgah Cemetery.

Pallbearers: Zack Dake, Austin Dake, John Ed Layman, Jake Couch, Johnny Dake, Rick Wiggins.

Honorary Pallbearers: Jace Sheppard and Andy Andrews.
