William Gains Breeden

William "Bill" Gains Breeden, age 67, of Decatur, TN, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the Athens Regional Medical Center. He was a member of the Decatur United Methodist Church and he attended the First Baptist Church of Decatur for many years. He was a member of I.B.E.W. Local 175. He was a member of numerous Agricultural Organizations. He was a graduate of Meigs County High School and a graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College. He was a Veteran serving in the U. S. Army. He is survived by his wife of 41 years Clare Nell (Chandler) Breeden, of Decatur, TN; two sons and one daughter-in-law, William "Bill" C. Breeden of Decatur, TN, Thomas "Tommy" S. and Angela C. Breeden of Destin, FL; one brother and sister-in-law, Sam E. and Janette Breeden of Decatur, TN; two Grandchildren, Jacob Cosgrove Breeden and Anna Ilene Breeden; several nieces and their families; one Uncle Fred Miller and family of Decatur, TN. Funeral service will held at 8:00 p.m., Friday, July 30, 2010 in the Bowers Funeral Home chapel with Rev. Charles George "Dump" Armour officiating. Interment will be in the Decatur Cemetery at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 31, 2010. The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m., Friday, June 30, 2010 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be: Ray Woods, Steve Miller, Charles Morrison, Will Irvin, Garland Lankford and Steve Scott.
