William Taylor Bishop

William "Taylor" Bishop, 72, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015 at Park Ridge Medical Center. He was a member of Goodhope Baptist Church. Retired owner and operator of T & L Trucking Company for many years. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend to many. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ross and Reba Bishop; one sister Anna Louise Bishop; stepdaughter Gloria Coleman. He is survived by his wife Ruby (Hatfield) Bishop of Gallatin, TN; one daughter Stacy Michelle Thompson of Ft. Oglethorp, GA; 2 step daughters, Charlotte and Danny Scott of Nashville, TN, Audra and Jeff White of Nashville, TN; one brother Dean and Ann Bishop of Decatur; three sisters, Linda and Jerry Lewis of Decatur, Carolyn and Eddie Stout of Cleveland, Beverly and Johnny Prentice of Decatur; 3 grandchildren, 5 step grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 3 pm, in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bill Pearman officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 till 3 pm, Sunday, at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Beta Cemetery. Pallbearers: Tony Lewis, Chad Prentice, Austin Prentice, Ty Coffelt, Steve Beaty, Lonnie Elder. Honorary pallbearers: Leslie Anderson, Jerry Lewis, Eddie Stout.
