Wayne Johnny Sheppard

Wayne Johnny Sheppard, age 48, of Decatur, passed away Friday, December 13, 2019 at his residence.

Wayne was a native of Loudon, TN and had lived in Decatur for 29 years. He was a former produce manager for Bi-Lo Grocery Stores and was of the Baptist faith. Wayne was an avid hunter and sportsman.

He was preceded in death by his father Johnny Sheppard, Sr.

Survivors include: his wife of 29 years, Judy Moses Sheppard, sons; Michael Sheppard and Tyler Sheppard, all of Decatur, his mother and stepfather Debbie and Sam Lynn of Loudon, brothers; Johnny Sheppard, Jr and David Sheppard both of Knoxville, a sister Samantha Rooker of Loudon, and father-in-law and mother-in-law Donald and Willie Moses of Decatur. His best friend David Breeden, several nieces, nephews, and other extended family also survive.

A memorial service will be conducted on Monday, December 16, 2019 at 7 PM in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with the Rev. Conrad Hawkins officiating.

The family will receive friends from 5 - 7 PM on Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.
