Wayne Clestion Goforth

Wayne Clestion Goforth, age 73, of Decatur, TN, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, December 8, 2010 in the Athens Regional Medical Center. He was a member of Decatur First Baptist Church. He was a member of Meigs Masonic Lodge F&AM #213, AMVETS Post 190. He was a Veteran serving in the U. S. Army. He was preceded in death by his parents, Luke and Bonnie (Falls) Goforth; brother Bernard Goforth. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Patricia (Colbaugh) Goforth of Decatur, TN; one son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Keith Dewayne and Jennifer Goforth of Loudon, TN; one daughter and son-in-law Stacie and Steve Hyde of Decatur, TN; one brother and sister-in-law, Maynard and Nancy Goforth of Decatur, TN; one sister Shirley Littleton of Decatur, TN; three grandchildren, Allison Hyde, Caleb Hyde and Clint Hyde and a host of friends. Funeral service will be held at 8:30 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2010 in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Keith Goforth officiating. Graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, December 10, 2010 in the Decatur Cemetery with the Rev. Marty Goforth officiating. The family will receive friends from 5 - 8 p.m., Thursday, December 9, 2010 at the funeral home with a Masonic service at 8 p.m. Pallbearers: Dewayne Colbaugh, Darryl Smith, Dean Smith, Tony Goforth, Clint Hyde and Tyler Colbaugh.
