Wanda A. Wattenbarger Monroe, age 82, of Decatur, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2022. She was a daughter of the late Oscar and Mamie Ingram Wattenbarger and attended the Beulah Chapel Church of the Nazarene. Wanda enjoyed coloring, watching hummingbirds, and traveling. She was preceded in death by her husband of over 63 years: Lankford Monroe, Jr., Siblings: Willie Wattenbarger, Irene Thompson, Garland Wattenbarger, Betty Underwood, Keith Wattenbarger, and several special fur Babies. She is survived by her daughters: Lisa King (Gene), Lori Monroe (Tim Hickman), grandchildren: Jerry King III (Morgan), Mitchell King (Tiffany), Timothy King (Crystal), great- grandchildren: Tyler King, Skyla King, Maddox Mason, Eden King, Ryker King, Taven King, Brayleigh King, siblings: Ruby Tilley, Janie Foster, and Ray Wattenbarger, Special nieces and nephews: Sheila Cooper, J.C. Crabtree, and Randy Wattenbarger. Several other extended family members and a host of friends also survive. A funeral service will be held at 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2022 in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Bill Dawson officiating. Interment will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2022 in the Beulah Chapel Church of the Nazarene Cemetery in Niota at 11 a.m. Family will receive friends from 5-7 prior to the service on Tuesday.
