Wanda Faye Letner

September 12, 1945 — July 1, 2011

Wanda Faye Letner, age 65 of Ten Mile, TN went home to be with the Lord on July 1, 2011 at the Hospice Unit at Standifer Place in Chattanooga, Tennessee. A native and lifelong resident of Meigs County, she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Maude Letner, and was preceded in death by her brothers, Billy, Johnny, Lester, Elmus (Curly), Robert (Cotton), JW (Dub), Chester (Big Boy); her sister, Mary (Monk) Gunter; brother-in-laws JC Gunter and Jake (Country John) Letner. A devoted Mother, sister, aunt and caregiver, Faye was a very special lady to all the people that knew her. She had a very special talent of laughter and loved her family and friends very much. She was a member of Ten Mile Holiness Church and a former employee of Shaw Industries. Survivors include her son, Jason Letner of Ten Mile; sisters, Ruby Trusley of Georgetown and Ann Letner of Ten Mile, brothers and sister-in laws; Earl & Dorothy Letner of Ten Mile, Howard & Carolyn Letner of Trion, Georgia, Bettye Letner of Harrison, Louise Letner of Chattanooga, Reba Letner and Connie Letner of Ten Mile; 50 nieces and nephews, 65 great-nieces and nephews, 43 great-great nieces and nephews and many special friends. Pallbearers will be her son and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held on Sunday July 3 at 8 p.m. at The Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Delmer Queen officiating. Internment will be at Roberts Cemetery at Ten Mile, Monday, July 4, 2011 at 11 a.m. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
