Walter Anderson Crowder, 46, of Athens passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, April 24, 2015 at Parkwest Medical Center. He was a life long resident of McMinn County and was a member of Calvery Baptist Church of Riceville. He was preceded in death by his parents Paul Sr. and Judy Crowder; his grandparents;' great nephew baby Kaiden Isaac Millsaps. Survivors include his wife of 16 years Jennifer Crowder, of Athens; daughter Judith Crowder, of Murfreesboro; Sons, Brandon and his wife Katie Buckner, Thomas Crowder and Christian Crowder, all of Athens; sisters Sharon and her husband Eddie Burton Sr., of Madisonville and Ranee Crowder, of Chattanooga; brothers and their wives Edward and Sharon Crowder, of Etowah and Richard and Sherry Crowder, of Athens; grandchildren, Ellie Crowder, of Murfreesboro, Nicole Buckner, Tyler Buckner, Lexi Buckner, Marissa Buckner, and Nicholas Buckner, all of Athens; aunt Debbie Crowder, of Athens; sister-in-laws Kim and Boyd Woody and Diane Ghorley, all of Athens; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm Monday in the chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Lewis officiating. Interment will be in the Clearwater Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 pm on Sunday. Pallbearers will be Richard Crowder, Edward Crowder, Eddie Burton sr., Eddie Burton jr., Ronnie Crowder, Joe Bottoms.
