Violet Ruth Charles Jackson, age 94, of Decatur, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.
She was a member of Good Hope Baptist Church and enjoyed crocheting, cooking, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
She is preceded in death by her parents: H.C. and Bell Charles; husband: Edd Lee Jackson; son: Timothy Jackson; daughter-in-law: Deann Jackson; great grandson: Braden Jackson; siblings: Gene Charles, Kerry Charles, JoAnn Charles, Frances Charles, Dorothy Ables.
She is survived by her children: Garry, Donnie, Phillip, and Chris (Ginger) Jackson; 9 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, March 14, 2024, in the Beta Cemetery with Rev. Mike Couch officiating.
