Viola Ann Smith

Viola Ann Smith, 100, went to be with the Lord Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Life Care Center of Athens. She was born in Putnam County, TN May 12, 1918 and lived in Meigs County all her life. She enjoyed quilting and gardening. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, R. J. Dunn and Lily Frances Thomas Dunn, her husband Earnest Smith, one daughter Virgie Maye, one son David Bishop and several siblings.

Survivors include two daughters, Lola Shipley of Soddy Daisy, TN and Ruby Morgan of Dayton, TN, three brothers, Ray Bishop, Noah Bishop and Paul Bishop all of Decatur, TN, several grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m., May 2, 2019 in Decatur Cemetery with Brother Jim Bowers officiating.
