Troy Lee Jones, 72, of Riceville, TN, went to be with the Lord Thursday, Oct. 10, 2013 He was of the Baptist Faith. He retired from Southern Railway. He was preceded in death by his parents, C. L. and Rose Jones; daughter Christina Robinson; infant sister Alice Jones. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Genora (Watkins) Jones of Riceville; 4 daughters and 3 son-in-laws, Tammy and Robert Sharpe of Riceville, Cindy and Rostin Ervin of Athens, Lora and Billy Huffman of Lenoir City, Kellie Jones of Riceville; one sister Margaret Price of Athens; 9 grandchildren, Wayne Ervin, Samantha Farmer, Jessica Ervin, Tamara Sharpe, Taz Robinson, Cody Lankford, Kaylan Ervin. Jazmine Ervin and William Ervin; 3 special great grandchildren; several much loved nieces and nephews. Pallbearers will be . The funeral service will be Saturday at 8 pm at Bowers Funeral Home with Rev. Jimmy Elliott officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-8 Saturday. Interment will be in Hilltop Baptist Church Cemetery, Riceville Sunday at 2 pm.
