Calvin "Trent" Gannon, age 43, of Decatur (formerly of Lynchburg, TN), passed away on
Thursday, September 3, 2020, at Starr Regional Medical Center.
He was part of the Good Hope Baptist Church family. He was employed by Storm Power Components where his co-workers were his family.
He was an avid Roll Tide fan and a collector of guns and knives. He enjoyed spending his time with his loved ones whom he never failed to greet with a genuine smile and
bear hug. Trent’s laughter was contagious, and his presence lit up the room. He never met a stranger, and you were considered a friend after that first encounter. He rarely
missed the opportunity to participate in a friendly debate and was always willing to lend some good advice, be a listening ear, and offer a shoulder to cry on. When he loved, he
loved big. If you were lucky enough to be loved by him, consider it a blessing.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Calvin and Sarah Austin Gannon; Grandparents: Thurman and Bessie Austin of Lynchburg, TN, and John and Clara
Gannon of Shelbyville, TN.
Survivors include his sister: Clarissa (Patrick) Gannon Shepherd of Decatur, TN; Niece: Sierra Shepherd; Nephew: Jace Shepherd; and other extended family.
A funeral service will be held at 3 PM on Monday, September 7,2020 at Good Hope Baptist Church in Decatur with Pastor Bill Pearman officiating.
