Tommy Joe Mchone

Tommy Joe McHone, age 69, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at his residence. He was an avid farmer and family man. He was preceded in death by his parents: Rex “Duck” and Carrie Mae Powers McHone, siblings: James Burgin, Ralph Dwayne, Aaron Anderson Michael, Jerry Dean, and Clarence McHone, Nella Ruth McHone Broadwell, Shirley Lea McHone Trew, Patricia McHone Jerles. He is survived by his children: Carrie Gilbert (Brian), Ashley Millsaps (Bo), Dustin McHone, grandchildren: Abbie Gilbert, Waylon McHone, Trista Millsaps, Jaydon McHone-Scoggins, siblings: Barbara Bales (Clifford), Daws McHone (Pat), Gene McHone (Margie), Rex McHone (Lois), Sandra Letner, several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022 at 2 p.m. in the Pisgah Cemetery with the Rev. Herman Jordan officiating.
