Timothy Lee Lankford

Timothy "Tim" Lee Lankford Sr., 55, of Decatur, died Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2015. He was preceded in death by his father, Ted Lankford; his mother and step father, Cora (Miller) and Kenneth Brown; brother, Ross Lankford; step daughter, Felicia Combs. He is survived by his sons, Tim Lankford Jr., of Decatur and Chris Oden, of Etowah; daughters, April and her husband Tyler Owens, of Kingston and Katie Buckner; brothers, Ray Lankford and Mike Lankford and his wife Maria, all of Decatur; sister, Mary Jane Powell, of Dayton; grandchildren, Gabriel Henry, Abel Lankford, Madison Owens, Skyler Owens, Renesmia Owens and Cataleya Owens; special friend Lisa Combs and her grandchildren Tori Burchfield and Lilly Combs; and special friend Mike Morrow. A graveside funeral will be held at Sharp Cemetery 12 pm Saturday, Nov. 14 with Pastor Jamey Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:30-11:30 Saturday. Pallbearers will be Michael Talent, Steve Mow, Tim Lankford Jr., Jeremy Lankford, Billy Lankford and Brian Rogers. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting donations be made to Bowers Funeral Home to help with the final expenses.
