Ted Monrow Spears

Ted Monrow Spears, 67, of Decatur, TN went home to be with the Lord on Monday Sept. 23, 2013. He was of Baptist faith and was preceded in death by his parents, Collie R.V. and Tura (Haney) Spears; step mother Bertha Lee Spears; father-in-law Raymond Lamb; half sisters Reba Grow and Bunie Lee Lambert; brothers-in-law Rick Crowe and Garland Veals; sister-in-law Kathy Veals and Bonnie Spears; nephew Darrell Letner. He is survived by his wife of 45 years Joyce Ann Spears; daughters Joy Melissa Shanks ( Jerry Haire) of Pikeville and Crystal Ann Runyan (Stevie Lawson of Decatur; grandchildren Eric, Dustin and Josh Raybon and Brenda Stokes; great grandchildren C J Vernon and Dylan Stokes; brother Emmit Spears of Decatur; half-brothers Bryant William Spears and Collie Ray (Gail) Spears; step brothers Bobby Gene King, Jason Earl (Susie) king, Charles O'Neal King, Jerry Williams, all of Florida; step sisters Sarah Crawford of Va., Joy (Bill) LuLucki of Florida, Mavis Catrone of S.C.; mother-in-law Inez Lamb; several nieces and nephews. A graveside service will be held at Walnut Grove Cemetery at 11 am on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2013 with Rev. Max Redman officiating. His grandchildren and brothers will serve as pallbearers.
