Steven Eugene Walker

Steven Eugene Walker, age 67, of Athens, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024. He was an avid bingo player and enjoyed riding around on his scooter. He was a United States Navy Veteran. He is preceded in death by his parents: Calvin and Betty Brown Walker, sister: Janet King, wife: Rebecca Newberry. He is survived by his daughter: Rebecca (Matthew) Sneed, son: Thomas (Erika) Newberry, grandchildren: Cole, Bentlee, Tucker, and Ezra Sneed, Pryor Newberry, other extended family and a host of friends. A graveside service with Military Honors will be conducted on Tuesday, August 6th, 2024 at 2:00 PM at the East Tennessee State Veteran's Cemetery located at 2200 E. Gov. John Sevier Hwy Knoxville, TN 37920. The family would like to say a special thank you to Morning Pointe Senior Living and Hospice of Chattanooga for their exceptional care of Steven.
