Steven Wayne Fox, Jr., age 47, passed away on February 12, 2024, at his home in Decatur, Tennessee, with his wife, Bridget, by his side.
Steve was born in Bakersfield, California on April 28, 1976 to his loving mother, Ethel Blake, and father, Steven Fox, Sr. Steve was a mamma’s boy from the start and being just the two of them for the first two years they had a lot of firsts in life together. During his life, he made it a priority to always make sure his mom knew how much he loved her. Chris Blake accepted the role as Steven‘s daddy at the early age of two and vowed to love him as his own for the rest of his life.
Steve was a super athlete, Stockdale high school’s first ASB president, as well as the first quarterback and a baseball star. He was known to be able to hit a baseball as far as 450 feet.
Steve didn’t always choose the easy path in life. One of the best decisions he did make was accepting Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He loved the Lord with all of his heart, and God used him in so many ways to reach, sometimes the most unreachable people and show them God‘s way.
The happiest time in his life was when God reunited him with his childhood sweetheart, Bridget; a love that was started 35 years earlier. He called her his miracle and often said she saved his life. The love they had for each other was undeniable and unshakable. She was the love that he waited his lifetime for, and they vowed to put God first in their marriage and be obedient to his calling on their lives. They looked forward to spending their lives together all the way through to eternity. Steve was always a loving, positive and encouraging guy who was there for all his friends, family, and anyone in need. Oftentimes you could read his Facebook post and see the love of God pouring out to others. Steve’s most popular saying was “Stay in the Fight. God is Super Power Awesome” and he encouraged people to have Bigger Faith, Faster Hope, and Stronger Love.
Steve is preceded in death by his father: Steve Fox Sr.; his brothers: Christoper Blake II and Joshua Williams.
He is leaves behind his wife: Bridget Fox; his parents: Chris and Ethel Blake; his sisters: Mary Van Doorn (Kim), Brittaney Fox(Dutch); his brother: Billie Fox; his children: Ashlynn, Alyssa, Luke, Savanah, Brody, and Jaret, as well as grandchildren, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other extended family, and friends that loved him very much.
