Stella Opal Smith

Stella Opal Smith, age 90, of Kingston, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023. Stella was a daughter to the late Clarence and Ida Kenner Smith. She was preceded in death by husband: Leonard Smith, children: Opal Purlee, Steve Harvey, Charles, Harvey, sisters: Dorothy Goodson, Mildred Lovelace, brothers: Woodrow, Sam, Marvin, Johnny, and Wilburn Smith, grandchildren: Christiana Burton, Frances Duff, Joshua Bailey. She is survived by her children: Patricia Aaron, Larry Harvey, brother: Jerry Smith, sisters: Novella Horne, Rosetta Palmer, Kathy Smith, several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephew, and other extended family. A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. George Miles officiating. Interment will follow in the Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Kingston, TN. The family will receive friends from 12 -2 p.m., prior to the service.
