Sara Joyce Wilson

Sara Joyce (Allen) Wilson, 70 of Decatur, TN went to be with the Lord on Thursday August 4, 2011 at Erlanger Hospital, Chattanooga, TN. She was born April 1, 1941, to the late Fred Allen and Mozelle Parris Allen. Sara was also preceded in death by her loving husband of 30 years, Edd V. Wilson. She was a member of Bethsadia Baptist Church. She retired from SETHRA after more than 20 years. Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Susan (Wilson) and Jared Lonon of Nashville, TN; one sister and brother-in-law, Faye and Wayne Brown, two brothers and sister-in-laws, Bill and Connie Allen, David and Lavada Allen; two nieces, Lisa (Tony) Charles and Julie (Brett) Boyd; one nephew, Shane Allen; three great nieces, Colby Aikman, Tiffany Charles and Kinslee Greene; three great-nephews, Ryan Aikman, Chance Allen and Hunter Boyd; one god-daughter, Becky (Velt) Harris, all of Decatur. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her including her Church family.. Funeral services will be held at 7 p.m., Saturday, August 6, 2011 in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Larry Sorah officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m., Sunday, August 7, 2011 in the Shiloh Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4 to 7 p.m., Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Ryan Aikman, Shane Allen, Brett Boyd, Tony Charles, Velt Harris and C. J. Oliver.
