Sammie Houston Branham, Sr.

Sammie Houston Branham, Sr., age 87, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022. He was an avid gardener, loved playing with his grandkids, a member of Maple Grove Baptist Church and Local 8818 for 30+ years in Oak Ridge. He is preceded in death by his parents: William Harlon and Alice Leffew Branham; 13 brothers and sisters. He is survived by his wife of 65 years: Vivian Juanita Branham; son: Sammie H. Branham, Jr (Darlene); daughter: Teresa K. Branham, brother: Arnold Ray Branham, sister: Sis Branham; grandchildren: Christopher Walden (Cali), Adam Walden (Elaine), Chad Branham; great grandchild: Kelsey McHone (Jake); great great-grandchildren: Silas McHone, Logan Walden, Kensley Walden; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 11 a.m. in the Luminary United Methodist Church Cemetery in Ten Mile with the Rev. Gary Rolen and the Rev. Curtis Walden officiating Pallbearers will include: Chris, Adam, and Mike Walden, Chad and Brad Jr. Branham, and Jake McHone.
