Ruth H. Powers

Ruth Henry Powers, 93, of Decatur, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, Oct. 13, 2015. She was born and raised in Underhill Center, Vermont and moved to Meigs County at the age of 21. Ruth was of the Lutheran faith. She worked at Wade's Cash Store for years and retired from Meigs Farmer's Co-Op as a book keeper. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin W. and Leora Henry; husband, Carl S. Powers; sister, Luella Henry Lamphere; brother, Edwin Henry. She is survived by many nieces and nephews. She will have a graveside funeral service at 11 am on Friday in the Decatur City Cemetery with her nephew, bro. Robert Ward officiating. The family will receive friends at 10 am on Friday at the funeral home before going in procession to the cemetery.
