Ronald Dale James

Ronald Dale James, 70, of Decatur, TN, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026. Born on June 9, 1956, Ronald lived a life filled with adventure and a passion for the open road. As a dedicated truck driver in the freight industry, he navigated countless highways, but what truly set his heart racing was riding his beloved Harley Davidson.

Ronald had a creative spirit, once attending school for taxidermy where he gained recognition for his skill. He won many ribbons for his work, showcasing his talent and dedication. His artistic nature shone through in everything he did, leaving a lasting impact on those around him.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, William and Sivil James; sister, Kandy James; brother, Calvin James; Life Partner, Vanessa Hill.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Tabatha Hammons; his grandson, Caleb Rentz; his brother, Howard James; his sister, Barbara Sherkey; brother-in-law Rick Sherkey; and several nieces and nephews, including Tim James, Edmund James, Amanda James, Jeremy Reagan, Wendy Smith, and Racharl Lewis. Ronald's warmth, humor, and zest for life will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

No formal services will be held per Ronald's wishes.
