Robert Lillard Waller, Jr.

Robert Lillard Waller, Jr., age 90, of Decatur, passed away on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 at his home surrounded by his family.

He was a son of the late Robert Lillard, Sr and Mamie Lemons Waller. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and in later days listening to bluegrass gospel music.

He is preceded in death by several siblings and a daughter-in-law: Gayla Waller.

Survivors include his wife of 69 years: Patty Waller; children: Gary Waller, Donnie (Charlotte) Waller, Kim (Tad) Waller Simpson, Vickie (Mike) Waller Barkley; brother: Rev. Lawrence Waller; grandchildren: RJ Barrett, Tell Simpson, Kirby Ricks, Bradley Barrett, Gage Waller, Ben Linger; great-grandchildren: Sylar Freeman, Ryker Simpson, Evie Ricks; several nieces, nephews, other extended family, and a host of friends.

A Funeral Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, July 28, 2023 in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Lawrence Waller officiating.

Interment will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 11 a.m. in the Roberts Cemetery.

Family will receive friends from 5 - 7 p.m. prior to the service on Friday.
