Robert Michael "Mike" Redmond

Robert Michael “Mike” Redmond, age 60, of Niota, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025, after a lengthy illness.

He was born on May 29, 1964, to the late Robert “Bunt” and Ruby Fitch Redmond. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and brother. He was a member of Meigs Lodge #213 F.& A.M. and loved going to the meetings and degree work until his illness wouldn’t allow him. He worked for Charles Blalock & Sons Construction in Sevierville, TN for over 30 years as a construction supervisor. Mike loved shooting in sporting clays competitions anytime he had a chance.

He is preceded in death by his granddaughter: Theresa Harrison.

He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Cherryl Carroll Redmond; daughter, Dee Hawn; grandson, Tyler (Angelina) Harrison of Athens; sisters, Darlene Gentry, Diane Wattenbarger, both of Niota; sister-in-law, Missy McJunkins; shooting buddy, Charlie Donaldson; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

No formal services will be held, per Mike’s request.
