Robert Ernest Martin

Robert Ernest Martin, 63, of Decatur, TN, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at his residence.

He was a member of Short Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother Geneva Smith Martin, Paternal Grandfather Dick Martin.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Connie Martin of Decatur, TN; son Andy Martin of Decatur; daughter Wendy Ferry of Decatur; Father Bruce Martin of Cleveland; four grandchildren, Brianna Ferry, Hawkin Ferry, Dixie Martin, Dylan Martin; Aunt Katie Shepard and Uncle Buck Martin both of Athens; other extended family and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 pm, on Thursday September 1, at the Bowers Funeral Home in Decatur. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 1, at 8 pm in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jimmy Lewis officiating.

Interment will be at 11 am, Friday, September 2, in the Chestua Methodist Church Cemetery, Madisonville, TN.
