Rita Joanna Wheaton Morris

Rita Joanne Wheaton Morris, age 77, of Decatur, passed away on Sunday, April 9, 2023. She was preceded in death by her father: Herman Wheaton, mother and stepfather: Myrtle and Archie Buck, husband: Bob Morris, siblings: Frank, Peggy, John, Larry “Butch”, Doug, Stacy, Linda, Audrey, Clara, Dolly. She is survived by her boyfriend: Gary Mosher, children: Mary Monroe, Billy Washburn, Rita Jones, Jeffrey Mosher, 6 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, and other extended family. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023 at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with the Rev. Herman Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in the Cedar Grove Cemetery, Athens. The family will receive friends from 12 to 2 p.m., prior to the service.
