Richard Edward Taylor

Richard Edward Taylor, age 87, went home to be with Lord on July 26, 2016 at his daughters residence.

He was a member of the Concord United Methodist Church He was retired owner of North Beach Marine in Florida. Was a Veteran serving in the USMC and in U.S. Air Force "Air National Guard", and served in the Korean War.

He was proceeded in death by his parents, Rupert and Gladys (Adams) Taylor.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Patricia (Dale) Taylor of Decatur; two sons and daughter-in-laws, Richard and Kassie Taylor of St. Augustine, FL, Thomas B. and Juanita Taylor of Decatur; two daughters, Carol Ann Gates of St. Augustine, FL and Sue Ellen Taylor of Dayton, ATN; one sister, Joan Strack of Orlando, FL; 6 Grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, July 29, 2016 at Bowers Funeral Home Decatur Chapel with the Rev. Doug Russell officiating.

The Family will receive friends Friday, July 29, 2016 from 10 till 11 am at the funeral home.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers make donations to one of the following veteran organizations to VFW, American Legion or AMVETS in Decatur, TN.
