Richard Alex Bales

Richard "Alex" Bales, age 17, of Ten Mile, TN went home to be with the Lord Thursday, April 12 , 2012. Alex brought so much joy to his family, friends and every life he touched. He will be loved, cherished and missed always. He is survived by his parents Tabitha Bales and Jonathan Swanks of Ten Mile; Robert Mattox of Smithville, TN; sisters Ashley Mattox and Veronica Mattox of Ten Mile; grandparents Jerry Swanks, Sammie Swanks, Frances Bales, Vickey Bates, all of Ten Mile, and Bill Brown of Decatur. The family will receive friends at 5 until 8 p.m. Tuesday April17 at the Bowers Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Scotty Bales officiating. Interment will be in the Edgemon Cemetery of Ten Mile, TN.
