Reba Louise Powers

Reba Louise Powers ,55, of Decatur, died Sunday Oct. 25, 2015. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Lucille (Parker) Scroggins; her sister, Bobbie Leclare; half brother, Joe Scroggins; uncle, Albert "Peanut" Parker. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, William "Billy" Powers, of Decatur; two sons, Damien Powers and his wife Annadelle, Joseph Powers and his wife Sabrina, all of Decatur; brother, Gene Scroggins and his wife June, of Decatur; three sisters, Carolyn Brown and Margaret Price and her husband Sonny, all from Alabama, and Catherine Moore, of Decatur; five grandchildren, Brittany Powers, Wesley Powers, Darcy Powers, Katlynn Powers, and Darla Powers. The funeral service will be held Wednesday at 7 pm in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 5-7 at the funeral home. Interment will be in the Shiloh Cemetery Thursday at 1pm. Pallbearers are Terry Powers, Jason Powers, Jesse Powers, Keith Ledford, Jim Ledford, Tod Hughes; honorary pallbearers are Phillip Hughes and Dennis Holder. In lieu of flowers make donations to the funeral home to a memorial fund.
