Raymond "Speedy" Dennis

Raymond " Speedy" Dennis, age 80, a resident of Athens, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 at Livingston Regional Hospital. He was a son of the late Hoyle and Edna Hampton Dennis and is preceded in death by a sister Irene Jackson, and three brothers; Reed Dennis, Charles Dennis, and George Dennis.

He is survived by his brother Creed Dennis of Athens, Sisters; Mary Ruth Womac of Niota and Ruby Walden of Athens, an aunt Reba Shultz of Ten Mile, and several nieces, nephews, and a host of extended family members and friends.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 at the Clearwater Baptist Church Cemetery in Athens.

There will be no formal visitation.
