Ray Charles Crabtree

Ray Charles Crabtree, 90, of Ten Mile, went home to be with the Lord on Friday November 13, 2015. Ray attended Pisgah Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his Parents, Robert and Okla (Powers) Crabtree; Wife of 63 years Patricia Redmond Crabtree, who died 6 months ago; sisters Irene Hutsell, Wynemia Melton; brothers Buster Crabtree, Melvin Crabtree, J.C. Crabtree Sr., Cecil Crabtree. He is survived by his son Richard "Rick" Crabtree of Ten Mile; daughter Marcella Kay Crabtree of Ten Mile; foster sons Scott Ayers of Ten Mile, Brian Ayers and Lorinda of Telico Plains; foster daughter Stacey Tallent and Richie of Ten Mile. Brother in law Gid and Connie Redmond of Ten Mile; Sister in laws Sue Crabtree of Decatur, Blanche Crabtree of Clarkston, MI; Special nephew J. C. Crabtree Jr.and Diana. Thank you to Amedysis Hospice Staff. The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 pm, Tuesday, 11-17-2015, Funeral at 7 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home, Decatur. The Burial will be Wednesday Nov. 18, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Zion Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bobby Dennis, Ray Woods, Ronnie Woods, Brian Ayers, Roy Ayers, C. A. Johnson.
