Ravanell Goines

Ravanell Goines, 89, of Decatur left this world and entered into our Heavenly Father's arms on May 15, 2012. She was born on March 16, 1923 in Cookville, TN to the late Clarance and Ida Trobaugh. She was preceded in death by her husband Cam Goines, five children; Brenda Goines, Charlene Shelton, Cam Goines Jr., Larry Goines and Fred Goodman. She leaves behind her beloved children and their spouses; Billy and Susan Trew of Decatur, TN, Jimmy and Connie Goines of Chattanooga, TN, Jimmy and Marlene Boles of Ten Mile, TN, Gerald and Jo Ann Goines of Decatur, TN, Wallace and Lynn Stokes of Sweetwater, TN, Earnest and Louise Goodman of Bunkerhill, Indiana. 29 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren, and 12 great-great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 8 pm in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Connie Goins officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-8 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Interment will be at the Hilltop Baptist Church Cemetery 116 CR 86 Riceville at 11 am on Thursday May 17. Pallbearers are Jonathon Shelton, Gerald Shelton, Tyler Shelton, Cam Shelton, Billy Trew, and Michael Goines. Honorary pallbearers are Billy Joe Goines and Joey Goines.
