Ralph Eugene Woods

Ralph E. Woods, age 77, a native of Meigs County, passed away on Thursday, February 27,2025, at Decatur Wellness & Rehabilitation Center.

Ralph was the youngest son of William “WD” and Ethel Woods. He retired from Clayton Homes, where he was a member of the hall of fame. He was an umpire and referee for 42 years. Ralph was a lifelong “VOLS” fan. He could not go anywhere without knowing someone or having a story to tell. He will be truly missed by all that knew and loved him.

Left to cherish his memories is his daughter, Christie (Drew) Mahoney; three grandchildren, Sean, Molly, and Ryan Mahoney; brothers and sister, Ronald Woods, Margret Ayre and Ray (Joyce) Woods; many nieces and nephews, and his extended family in Kentucky.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
