Ralph Bredwell

Ralph Bredwell, 71, of Decatur passed away at his residence Friday, July 27, 2018. He was a lifelong resident of Decatur who enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. He was a Baptist by faith and a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Mart and Linda Bredwell; two sisters, Mary Sue Branham and Lucille Bredwell Russell; and a son-in-law, Henry Brigham.

Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of 46 years, Kathleen Bredwell of Decatur; two sons, Michael (Jamie) Bredwell and Steven (Helen) Bredwell, both of Decatur; a daughter, Lisa Brigham of Ringgold, GA; a brother, Bill Bredwell of Decatur; four sisters, Rosie Gibson of Decatur, Mae Pritchett of Ten Mile, Della Denton of Birchwood, and Stella Mae Lynn of Athens; two grandchildren, Hannah and Aubey; and a host of extended family and friends.

Graveside services were held on Sunday, July 29, 2018 at 3pm in Mt Olivet Cemetery in Decatur. The family will receive friends at Bowers Funeral Home from 1pm to 3pm and we will proceed to the cemetery at that time.

The family appreciates the following men for their service as pall bearers, Steven Bredwell, Michael Bredwell, Eddie Waden, Jimbo Miles, Daniel Crisp and Bud Moore and as honorary pall bearers, Willis Boles, Charlie Gibson and Janusz W. Kot.
