Phillip D. "Doodle" Grubb

Phillip D. Grubb, age 80, of Georgetown, passed away on Monday, January 1, 2024.


He was a son of the late James Lester and Anna Jean Grubb. He was a member of Burdette Baptist Church. He was a member of Harrison Lodge #114 F & A.M. and enjoyed being Santa Claus for many years.


He is preceded in death by his sisters: Marjorie Collins, Myra Nell Taylor, Jean Jolley, and Carolyn Redman, a brother: Pete Grubb, and a sister-in-law: Nellie Grubb.


He is survived by his wife of almost 60 years: Carol Grubb; sons: James (Stephanie) Grubb, Phil (Cortney) Grubb, Billy (Cathy) Davenport; grandchildren: Michael, Xavier, Noah, Linsey, Kayla, Brooke; great-grandchildren: Aiden, Landon, and Cora; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.


A Masonic service will be held on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at 2 p.m. at Burdette Baptist Church, with a funeral service to follow with the Rev. Jeff Thornton and the Rev. David Evans officiating. Interment will follow in the Beta Cemetery.


The family will receive friends from 12 noon- 2 p.m., prior to the service.


In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial donations in P.D.’s memory be made to the Ronnie Blaylock, Sr. Memorial Car Show c\o Harrison Lodge #114 F & A.M., P.O. Box 84, Harrison, TN 37341
