Peggy Sue Boggess

Peggy Sue Edgemon Boggess "Nana", 74, of Ten Mile put down her earthly angel wings and picked up her heavenly angel wings to walk the streets with her Lord and Savior on Friday, January 19, 2018 at home surrounded with her family.

She served God by serving others every day of her life. She was dedicated to her family, friends, church, and the Ten Mile Community. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church. She was a Branch Manager for Meigs County bank for twenty-one years. She loved and took care of all her customers.

She leaves behind a loving family: Husband of 55 years, Richard Herd Boggess of Ten Mile; son, Jeff and Lorrie Boggess of Dayton, TN; daughter, Missy and Chris Denton of Ten Mile, TN. Her world was her grandchildren: Zach Denton, Megan, Kayley and Andrew Ellison, Morgan Boggess, Taylor Boggess, and Marcie Boggess, and great-grandson, Tucker Luke Ellison. Survivors also include her sister, Patsy and the late Lloyd Gant of Georgia; brother, B and Glenda Edgemon of Ten Mile; and sister, Cobia Edgemon of Athens, TN.

Peggy was a dear, sweet, generous, funny and beautiful lady. Her testimony was the Godly life she lived.

We will celebrate her life with family and friends from 4pm to 7pm, Sunday, January 21, 2018 at Bowers Funeral Home in Decatur. Funeral services will follow with Rev. Earl Graves and Rev Jeff Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Edgemon Cemetery in Ten Mile at 11AM on Monday, January 22, 2018.
