Paul Edd Howard

Paul Edd Howard, age 75, of Decatur, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2024.

He was a son of the late George and Nancy Irene Goforth Howard. He collected hats and knives. He loved making walking sticks, fishing, hunting, working in the flower bed, and doing puzzles. He sat on the board of Negotiation for Local 175. He retired from Thomas and Betts in 2016.

He is preceded in death by his siblings: Martha Anne Holbart, Lester “Buck” Howard.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years: Betty Howard; children: Steven Michael Howard, Morgan Elizabeth (Alex) Genovesi; grandchild: Avery Genovesi; siblings: Reba Jean Womac, Robert (Pam) Howard; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

A Funeral Service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024, in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 p.m., prior to the service.
