Opal Juanita Brock

Opal Juanita (Jones) Brock, 65, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday July 27, 2011, at Woods Memorial Hospital. She was born in Chattanooga, but had lived in Decatur for 32 years. She was a wonderful, loving, caring mother, as well as an amazing cook. She was preceded in death by her husband of 35 years, Harold W. Brock, Sr.; son, Michael Dewayne (Bubba) Turner; mother, Martha Morgan Jones; father, Albert Benjamin Jones; three brothers, Freddie Bart Jones, Michael D. Jones, A.B. Jones; five sisters, Emma Jean Troxell, Joyce Buskirk, Margaret Goins, Sunday Sue McClean, Elaine Hough. Survivors include; daughter and son-in-law, Angela and Frankie Brown of Maryville, daughter and son-in-law, Margaret (Binkey) and Bruce Couch of Decatur; one son, H. Wayne Brock, Jr. of Athens; special friend, April Ratledge of Athens; two grandsons, Joshua Couch and Christopher Couch; two special God children, Clay Griffins and Kaylee Ratledge of Athens; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Gene Nixon of Chattanooga. She also had many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends 5-8p.m. Thursday, July 28. Funeral Services will be held in the Chapel Friday at 12 p.m. with the Rev. Lewis Garner officiating. Internment will be in Mountain View Memorial Gardens, Decatur, TN.
