Ona Ruth Melton

Ona Ruth Walden Melton, age 66, of Philadelphia, passed away on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at Ft. Sanders Select Care in Knoxville.

She was born on January 8, 1951 to the late Olif And Maxine Letner Walden of Ten Mile, Tn and was a lifelong member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Ten Mile. She was preceded in death by her sister, Gail Arnett.

Survivors include by her husband of 43 years, Troy Melton of Philadelphia, brother and sister in law, Dwight and Jane Walden of Niota, Brothers-in-law and Sister-in-law Jessie and Evelana Melton, Shirley Neloms, Kenneth and Hazel Melton, Roy and Brenda Melton, Faye Ballard, and Peggy Melton. Several Nieces, Nephews, other extended family, and a host of friends also survive

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, October 29, 2017 at the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Ten Mile with the Rev. Curtis Porter and the Rev. Franklin Melton officiating. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, from 5 until 8, at Bowers Funeral Home.
