Nannie Edna Dunn, 88, of Decatur went home to be with the Lord, Sunday Oct. 25, 2015. She was a member of Five Point Baptist Church and an active member of the Decatur Senior Center. She was born in Decatur to the late Charlie and Martha "Janie" Gennoe. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Dunn; brothers, Bryant Gennoe, Shaver Gennoe, George Gennoe, James Gennoe; sisters, Alice Childs, Hazel Bishop, Leona Trueblood, Sarah Powers, Bessie Aikens, Mary Sue Clark; and great grandchild, Addison Harmon. Survivors include one son, Jimmy and his wife Faye Dunn, of Etowah; one daughter Becky and her husband John Harmon, of Decatur; one sister, Elizabeth Gennoe, of Cleveland; seven grandchildren, Kimberly Dunn, Sheila Wilke, Kelsey Conner, Nicholas Harmon, Gunnery Sergeant Michael Harmon, Jerrad Harmon, Cindy Ladd; fifteen great grandchildren. The funeral service will be held 8pm, Tuesday, Oct.27, in the Chapel of Bowers Funeral Home with the Rev. Stan Cantrell officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5-8 pm Tuesday. Interment will be in Five Point Cemetery 11 am Wednesday. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
