Myrtle Bell Green

Myrtle "Tootsie" Bell Green, 79, of Decatur, went to be with the Lord Tuesday Feb. 16, 2016 in Sweetwater Hospital.

She was a member of Mt. Verde Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Homer and Virginia Griffon Wilson; husband ONeil Green; daughter Donna Green, grandson James Anthony Trentham.

She is survived by 3 sons; Jason and Loretta Green of Decatur, Jeff Green of Ten Mile and Scotty and Nancy Green of Decatur. 8 Daughters; Judy Gordon and special friend Danny Wattenbarger of Decatur, Bernice and Don McCann of Cleveland, Ruth and Matt Hicks of Lenoir City, Frances and Dalmas Munger of Birchwood, Sheila and Tom Underwood of Niota, Debbie and Gilbert Castro of Chattanooga, Teresa Green of Decatur, and Ronna and Randy Couch of Decatur. 5 Brothers; Harold Wilson of Knoxville, Robert Wilson of Ten Mile, Lloyd Wilson of Cartersville, GA, Paul Wilson of Benton, and Mike Wilson of Benton. She has 30 Grandchildren and 35 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-great Grandchildren.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 pm, Thursday, Feb. 18, 2016 at the funeral home.

Funeral service will be held at 8 pm, Thursday, Feb 18, 2016 in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Donny Dalton and Brother Ben Linkons officiating.

Graveside service will be at 4 p.m., Friday, Feb. 19, 2016 at Mtn. View Memorial Gardens.
