Myra "Tiny" Rose Creasman, age 92, of Decatur, went to be with the Lord on Friday, January 30, 2026 at Life Care Center of Cleveland.
Myra was a daughter of the late Oscar and Alice Evans Rose of Roane County. She retired from Meigs County Board of Education after forty plus years of service. She was a graduate of Tennessee Tech University (1955). Before teaching school in Roane County, she taught in the Islands of the Philippines and McMinn County. Myra was a devoted member of Decatur United Methodist Church for many years.
She is preceded in death by her son, Franklin Grant Creasman; siblings, Mabel Edgemon, Anna Margaret Barnard, Pat Fitch, Wayne Crabtree, Timmie Poole, Rue "Bud" Rose; brother and sister-in-laws, Hazel Hennessee, Herman Creasman, Patsy Hayes.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Donald Creasman; daughter, Julie Creasman Barber of Dalton, GA; grandchildren, Alice Ann, Meredith, and Ward Barber; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
The family will receive friends from 1 - 3 p.m., on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Decatur United Methodist Church. A private graveside service will be held per Tiny's request.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations be made to Decatur United Methodist Church or Decatur Cemetery.
