Minnie Bernice Morrison

Bernice Morrison, 95, passed away on Thursday, May 12, 2011 at Brookewood Nursing Center, Decatur, TN. She was born March 28, 1916 in the Wolf Creek Community, Spring City, TN and moved to Decatur in 1925. She was a former employee of Simco Leather Company. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Decatur for many years. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charles Loyd Morrison, Sr., Clifford Tidwell, one son C. L. Morrison, Jr., and daughter-in-law, Jeanette Allen Morrison, parents Otha W. and Clara Barger McGann, three sisters, Genevieve Cooley, Kay Perkinson and Marchie McGann, two brothers, C.B. and Phil McGann. She was a wonderful mother and loved dearly by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, great, great grandchild, and family. She is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law, Kay Neita and Harold Pearson, Harrison, TN, Charlene and J. E. Wilson, Louise and Billy Wilson of Decatur, one brother Otha (Mac) McGann of Georgetown, TN; nine grandchildren, Donnie, Ronnie, Charles, Dee, Denise, Connie, Karen, Neal, Kip, 18 great grandchildren and one great, great grandson. Pallbearers: Grandsons, Dee Pearson, Donnie, Ronnie, Charles Morrison, Neal and Kip Wilson, Dr. Steve Bencho, Jeff Pewitt, and Michael Painter. Funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m., Saturday, May 14, 2011 in the Bowers Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jamie Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-8 p.m., Saturday, May 14 , 2011 at the funeral home. Interment will be Sunday at 1 p.m. at Decatur Cemetery
