Mildred Lee Presswood Mcdowell

Mildred Lee Presswood McDowell, age 77, of Decatur, passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024.

She was a daughter of the late George and Fannie Belcher Presswood. She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed crocheting, fishing, camping, and off-roading.

She was preceded in death by her husband: Charles Fred “Sonny” McDowell; brothers: George Edward Presswood, Vaughn D. (Barbara), J.W. (Ruth); sister: Marie Walden; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

She is survived by her children: C.L. (Tammy), Ricky (Teresa), Aaron (Debbie), and Walley (Dawn) McDowell; sister: Gussie Richesin; grandchildren: Blake, Jeremy, Hayden, Griffin, and Seba McDowell; great-grandchildren: Cade and Callen McDowell, Colton and Cameron Schumate; special nieces and nephew: Sandra Hari, Shirley Teague, Tony Partin; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family.

A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024 at 7p.m. in the Chapel of Decatur Funeral Home & Cremation Services with Pastor Cliff Waters officiating.

Interment will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 in the McClellan Cemetery in Madisonville, Tn.

The family will receive friends from 5 – 7p.m., prior to the service on Monday.
